Morning Worship

Nestled between two books of war and change giving a broad look at events in Israel’s history, is one of the shortest books of the Old Testament, the book of Ruth.

Set in the midst in the days of the judges, the book of Ruth focuses essentially on one family who’s decision to leave their home results in tragedy.

Beginning with such heartache, the book tells the story of God’s marvellous redeeming grace in the life of a Moabite called Ruth, and His kindness toward the broken Naomi.

The book has tremendous significance, not least of which is how God uses everything that occurs to preserve and continue the lineage to Messiah.
